More broadly, one network executive told features writer Charlotte Klein, “It’s going to change everything” if Trump wins. The exec said it could signify the complete failure of the news industry.

“If half the country has decided that Trump is qualified to be president, that means they’re not reading any of this media, and we’ve lost this audience completely. A Trump victory means mainstream media is dead in its current form,” they said.

My neighbor was a lifer in The Army. He mentioned that Puerto Ricans were some of his best troops.

In response to the backlash, Hinchcliffe defended his set on social media, claiming that people "have no sense of humour" and arguing that his jokes were taken out of context to appear offensive. He insisted that he "loves Puerto Rico" and vacations there frequently.

This whole controversy is media created. It was a joke by a comedian. He didn’t call Puerto Ricans garbage, he called the island garbage, which it is. Anyone who accepts the premise is falling for another media hoax.
