It also occurred to me that being VP was a pretty sweet gig for her. Even though she was put in charge of the border, she well knew that her job was to do nothing.

Imagine you are an employee, and your boss gives you a job that you can use to enhance your resume, perhaps get an increase in stature, power, and possibly, even pay.

Your current job is a breeze. You aren’t expected to produce anything, nobody looks over your shoulder, and you can pretty much do as you please. You get send to occasional conferences on the company jet any time you travel, they pay for everything and more, and sometimes you even have to represent the company at funeral services.

So your boss gives you a new job, but says “You don’t have to do anything. We don’t WANT you to do anything, we have our own plans. But we need to put a face on this so the shareholders think we have it covered. And that is all we need. Actually, we will be pissed if you even DO anything, or TRY to. You still get to travel on your own luxurious business jet, eat at five star restaurants, go sightseeing, that kind of thing. If you have to make proposals and submit reports, do it if you want to, but have an underling do it. We will throw them in the circular bin. You won’t be expected to present them.”

Wouldn’t that suit her perfectly?

To be responsible for something, or even to appear to be might be a gigantic step downwards from a job satisfaction perspective.

Maybe she just doesn’t really want to be President.

That’s a really good theory.
Even if it’s not fully conscious. She may be self-sabotaging subconsciously because she is afraid of all that responsibility, and drama, and scrutiny.

In fact, maybe she has realized that being President is too risky. While most of the danger is for Trump (and to a lesser degree, republicans), the lawfare precedent has been set.

Perhaps not...But Obama sure does, so does Pelosi. Harris is just a cover band, the real agenda lies with Obama.
Heels was told to show up, and commit to nothing...just like biden. Only biden was too lazy to even leave the basement.
If they really wanted to win on merit, they would have had primaries, and run a legitimate candidate. No matter. Heels will play along and be Obama’s bitch...
The steal is on. The left and the majority of the GOP are rabid...they will not let Trump win.
I’m afraid that this will play out as we suspect, and the cherry on top for pelosi is when the New York judge sentences Trump to serve a small sentence for his transgressions....The final humiliation.
