She was also great in that episode of Star Trek TOS, “Assignment: Earth”, S2E26.
“Mom And Dad Save The World”
She was great as Mrs Mom in “Mr Mom.”
For a few years you could not go to a movie without seeing her. She was rarely the “star”, but she made so many of those movies unforgettable.
I am saddened by this news. I hope you rest in peace.

Later in her career, she starred with Sam Elliot in “Fugitive Nights,” based on a Joseph Wambaugh novel. It was, I think, a made for TV movie, but she was lovely as usual, appearing more mature, in years and world weariness, than before.
I AM I TEARS...I LOVED HER ...
This just hit me so hard. My best friend and I were little girls when watched Young Frankenstein at the drive in movies, sitting on aluminum folding chairs and eating popcorn, drinking a fountain Pepsi and pointing out the fireflies while her parents were beside us in their family station wagon.
My best friend was murdered almost 30 years ago and her mother has passed. I always keep going back tothat beautiful night, us giggling like a couple of school girls and being awestruck at Teri Garr.
She had the best facial expressions. Just an absolute dear. RIP, Teri.

... Plus you know... Happy Halloween!
That’s a very touching post. God bless.
This sucks. I crushed on her in my 20s and recently went on a Teri Garr YouTube binge. She was funny, very smart, charming and full of class.
A beautiful person.
That what she was hired for...being adorable.
David Letterman would always drool all over her when she was on his show. For good reason obviously.
Good in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. A good movie that’s held up well over time.
I was drooling along with Dave. She was my ideal of the perfect woman.

And he's still alive... Along with Gene Hackman.

Young Frankenstein is a timeless classic.
