Commentator Candace Owens has reportedly been blocked from entering Australia ahead of a planned speaking tour.

Australia's Minister of Home Affairs, Tony Burke, canceled Owens' visa this week, saying her planned visit had to capacity to "incite discord."

"From downplaying the impact of the Holocaust with comments about [Nazi doctor Josef Mengele] through to claims that Muslims started slavery, Candace Owens has the capacity to incite discord in almost every direction," Burke said on Sunday, according to The Guardian newspaper.

How pathetic. Another blow against freedom of speech by the regressives. Also says worlds about the supposed manliness of the Aussies.

Clearly they are racists who cannot accept a strong black woman.

That’s how this is done, right?

North African Muslims did start the Atlantic slave trade.

They were also quite active in the white slave trade, raiding across the Mediterranean.

“claims that Muslims started slavery”

Did she really claim that? Slavery is about as old as humanity; Islam not nearly so.

And before the Muslims, the Egyptians held slaves, until Moses delivered them from bondage 3500 years ago.

But you cannot say that in Australia, lest you offend their very fragile snowflake sensibilities.

Well Muslims certainly took slaves from early on.

But they were far from the first.

down under gives the word “taint” new depth

The word taint has multiple meanings, including:

To affect something negatively
To slightly touch or affect something with something bad. For example, “The reputation of the university has been tainted by athletic scandals”.

To contaminate
To make something dangerous or dirty by adding something harmful or undesirable to it. For example, “Bacteria had tainted the meat”.

To place under suspicion
To cast doubt upon something. For example, “Their relationship was tainted with suspicion”.

A trace of decay
A stain.

A spoiling influence
A mark of guilt or disgrace. For example, “a rare political campaign that wasn’t marred by the taint of false accusations”.

Slang
The area between the testicles or vulva and the anus, also known as the perineum.

Synonyms of taint include:
Cloud, Corrupt, Defile, Pollute, Sully, and Tarnish.

Actually, they did not start the Atlantic slave trade, but they did supply it. The first Europeans to explore the coast of sub-Saharan Africa were Portuguese sailors who discovered slave trading posts along the coast put there by North African Muslims. The Portuguese thought, “Gee these would come in handy for our colony in Brazil.” And so it began. Then the Spanish, and next the British followed along.

Maybe Hawaii should ban the loud mouthed, usually drunk, obnoxious, and belligerent Aussies who visit.
