Winning the popular vote means having more people vote for you than against you. Anything else is winning a plurality of the vote or just losing.
Yes but their 3 times have all been in recent years, while the last time we won was 20 years ago, and our 3 times prior to that was in the Pleistocene epoch, i.e. in the 1980s.
Yes, the voting system has been severely rigged since 2004, and not in the favor of the GOP.
Why would you think the dems won any of those elections?
Do you know how Democrats like rank choice voting? If it was in effect in 1992 Bill Clinton would’ve lost the Bush

2016?
I thought Dems won the popular vote in 2016, which is one of the reasons they hate the Electoral College and called Trump an “illegitimate” president.
crazy thing...
Hillary Clinton won the popular vote with a way larger pluralty(48%) than Bill(43%) yet Bill won the Electoral in a landslide in 1992.
I wonder if he ever brings it up to her ?
At the end of the day, all that counts is who is sworn in on Inauguration Day. Saying Trump "beat" Biden means spit when Biden has been leading the US into a death spiral.
It is a comforting fiction right-wingers have been telling themselves to retain sanity.
When Obama won in 2008, many pundits said it was the end of the GOP. In 2010 the GOP won more than 60 House Seats mostly because people wanted Obamacare to be repealed but also because of the housing crisis and bank bailouts. The point being, party affiliation isn’t the key metric and power will shift based on policies and economics. This year I think the left pushed things too far on the whole woke and trans thing, and the wars, and the economic malaise. They got people riled up. Their only retort is to cry “Hitler”. The people thus invoke Godwins rule: “the first to invoke Hitler in a debate loses”.
Bill had Perot to syphon popular votes. Mostly from Bush but some from Clinton too. It gave Bill the EC with a lower percentage of popular votes.
Let’s be honest here. We had to go back to the 80s to bolster these numbers. After 1988, an R has only won the popular vote once - 2004. Dems have had a majority or plurality the other 7 times. This is a major concern that needs to be addressed.
That is surprising information! I just hope we have enough votes this time to beat the cheat.
Republicans won the popular vote in 2020 only to have the ballot boxes stuffed by the democraps.
Hillary got about 48% in 2016. She had a plurality but not a majority of the vote.
I think Reagan winning AND being a good, competent president really scared the Dims
Grew up in the Chicago suburbs and by the time I was in the 6th grade, I knew dead people could vote.
Went to vote today in Maryland in a D.C. suburb.
Several people standing by the Republican table, NOBODY at the Dem table!
PRAY HARD!!!!
thanks.
yep...
Perot took 19 million+ votes...Hillary\Trump had 8,340,388 who didn’t vote for either
Same thing happened in 2016..Perot took 8 million+ votes away and Clinton still didn’t hit 50% of the popular but won the EC by even more 2nd time around.
