Pretty cool! I’ve seen spectroscopy setups on amateur telescopes-I have no idea how much they cost. They’re no where near the sensitivity of these devices.
We even had one for a time at the club’s observatory. It was built by a club member, complete with a telescope and a heliostat. Alas, no one was all that interested in using it, so it was eventually removed. Now that I’m retired, I wish we still had it, especially with the solar maximum in progress. It was a nice setup. THANKS, RB, for posting this!
