Would you like some fries with that? If ever there is an example of how much Politics have changed in the Trump era, nothing captures it quite as adeptly as President Trump’s photo op cooking and serving fries at a McDonald’s yesterday.
Now photo ops are nothing new, they have been part of political life in the United States since before the camera was invented. Candidates volunteer at soup kitchens, county fairs, stop by children’s cancer wards, whatever and wherever they can and fell will be a good backdrop to draw in the press and get a story about whatever their cause is. They aren’t limited to campaign season either, though that is clearly when they are most used. (AOC crying crocodile tears at the border a few years back anyone?). These things are basically just part of the political landscape.
. . .
Now democrats are investigating Macdonalds for price gouging. Coinkydink?
One of the best I’ve seen was when Jesse Jackson was running for president during the Iowa caucus season. Jesse almost won Iowa because he was the only Dim candidate who knew how to milk a cow.

I think the writer meant FEEL and not FELL.
Just another of the dropoffs in expectations in the US in 2024.
Perhaps.
But Donald Trump wasn’t running for office when he made this video:

Just Sayin’.
$20.00 an HR + Price Gouging = Inflation
I think that it was originally aired on Oprah or Ellen’s show, which in itself is remarkable.
I say Trump should go to Pennsylvania dutch country and milk a cow, then drink a big glass of whole milk. 100% of the Amish vote right there.
Hadn’t watched it before. So glad you put up the link. What fun! Waving frantically.
I had a hard time finding it, but I was determined! :-)
I’m surprised they haven’t done everything they can to shut McDonald’s down as a company.
In a free market economy, realistically price gouging does not exist because customers will shop at the competitors’ store.

Great idea. 👍
Jesse Jackson knowing how to milk a cow is a natural for him
since he would have, if elected, milked you the taxpayers
with great gusto
But a pro milker knows to grab the cow’s tail and trap it against it’s side with your head so it won’t keep switching you with it.
