In Toxic Empathy, Allie Beth Stuckey argues that empathy has become a tool of manipulation by left-wing activists who bully people into believing that they must adopt progressive positions to be loving. She explores the five most heated issues through which toxic empathy is deployed: abortion, gender, sexuality, immigration, and social justice. Progressives use catchy mantras to present their perspective as empathetic, like "abortion is healthcare," "love is love," or "no human being is illegal," but in each case, they ignore the other side of the moral equation. For example, abortion is presented as compassionate for the woman, but what about the human life the procedure kills?
This book isn’t about killing empathy; it’s about submitting our empathy to God’s definitions of love, goodness, and justice. Stuckey exposes the logical pitfalls and moral consequences of toxic empathy, equipping Christians with research-backed, Biblical truths to dismantle the progressive lies that have permeated our culture—and our church.

LoL I’m a Catholic Californian (with Protestant tendencies) — lineage in the states not going far back. The political landscape is more complicated now indeed.
ABSOLUTELY.
They ignore, dismiss, and trample on the fact that theologically Christian charity as it comes from scripture is about you personally, vouuntarily, indpendently or voluntarily with others, doing something charitable. It is 100% not about government compulsion to be charitable, and not about 51 out of 100 of us telling the other 49 that the law, the government is going take money from you and do with it as the 51 out of 100 want. That is Marxist socialism not Christian charity.
Christian charity does not seek to make a serf of the government out of the recipient. Morally the recipient knows the Christian charity is not an entitlement, it is gift lovingly, voluntarily given to them. The difference in how this affects the inidividual is that the Christian charity builds moral people and the creation of government serfs is morally debilitating.
‘Love is love’ is the mantra of pedophile groups. Run from Democrat narratives.
It is up to Christians to determine when they’re being played by the LEFTISTS and to respond appropriately. If a homeless, druggie dude, shows up at a church, then, yes, do whatever you can to turn his life around.
But if some nice, charismatic guy, tells you to NEVER eat meat again, deal with him appropriately and send him back to the Unitarians. We are a DIFFERENT people, and they can try to penetrate, but we’ll fight them off.
Hit!
