True. When I worked at McDonald’s, a lot of shifts were as little as two hours for the lunch rush or the dinner rush. Many times the manager would schedule people for “split shifts”, where employees would work a few hours at lunchtime, take the slow part of the afternoon off, then return for a few hours at dinnertime. Fast food is not a 9 to 5 job.
