Who would have thought the Amish would ever vote for ANYONE? I heard they are voting for Donald Trump (not Kamala Harris) in the 2024 election. So I went to their world headquarters to find out why. And what an insight
The same here in rural north central Ohio.
My Amish and Mennonite neighbors have Trump signs in their fields.
When I watch Trump rallies (or any rally) I watch the people in the crowd, their body language, etc.
Before the 2020 election I saw Amish people at the Trump rallies, which surprised me. I also saw Sikh Indians.

The Amish always vote Republican. It sounds like the author is clueless about even recent history.
I think he means that traditionally, most Amish haven’t voted in presidential elections at all.
Historically only a tiny percentage have voted.
For decades, the Amish have declined to vote – that could all change (and it's because of milk)
Too bad there are not young black Amish men who could also harvest their horse’s vote for Trump
“but now they’re beginning to realize, like the rest of us, even if they’re not involved with politics, politics is involved with them.”
You may not be interested in politics but politics is interested in you.

Of course the Amish vote, they are patriotic Americans.
Even?
Your cherry picking with pictures of some Amish aside, the Amish have a history of low turn out. The article has it right.
It is unimagineable that anyone who lives a lifestyle that is incompatible with the regulatory state, and the existence of which is seen by the regulatory state as a threat and provocation, would vote either democrat or, spit, Bush style compassionate RINO.
They haven’t traditionally voted in very large numbers.
They’ve also generally filed for Conscientious Objector status when they’ve been eligible for the draft.
Trump is German after all
more freedom with republicans
As well put as you can get.
And I guess they would not be answering phones or texts to respond to polls, either, so their support would not show up.

Well they certainly voted for DJT in 2016 and 2020.
