‘Christian Sharia’—MSNBC Host Equates Pro-Life Policies With Christian Nationalism

MSNBC host Ali Velshi has offered some strong words to pro-life advocates, characterizing laws that restrict access to abortion as “Christian Sharia.”

Velshi’s comments came in the context of an interview on SiriusXM radio’s The Dean Obeidallah Show. Velshi is a longtime broadcast journalist who serves as a business correspondent for MSNBC and NBC. He is also host of “Velshi,” a weekend news program on MSNBC.

So, this is the way around it. You see, to the left what matters most is controlling the narrative. By saying we are all “pro-choice”, then adding the caveat, “and we choose life” forces the left to commit to saying they are “pro-choice” but choose abortion.

The term "Christian nationalism," like "Saturday night special," was coined by the Left and is found almost exclusively in liberal-left publications. There was once a Christian Nationalist Crusade, a white supremacist and Judeophobic group led by Gerald L. K Smith, but it died out late in the last century.
