This is why you don't abort babies like these. This mom and dad got to love these babies for a few minutes of life. It may only be a few minutes but they will remember that love the rest of their lives.
Heartbreaking.
My next door neighbor is going to soon to visit relatives, to help care with their infant. Certain tests during pregancy had indicated the high likelihood of the infant having a genetic derived illness - brittle bone disease - when it was born. They could not abort the child and it was born with the suspected problem. It is heartbreaking but the family is strong and pulling together.
People with the most severe forms of brittle bone disease may die during infancy. However, most people who receive supportive care and medical management can expect to lead healthy, productive lives with average life span.
My baby brother died only one hour after birth. He was baptized and given a name, and my mother had him for that one hour. Well worth the pain.
"Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them."
Psalm 139:16
Takes a lot to get a tear from me, these pics did.
Prayers for this family.
The doctor advised that my youngest son would be born with severe genetic abnormalities. The doctor suggested we explore our “options.”
There was no option. God gave us a child, it was our responsibility to take care of him no matter what.
He’s 18, graduated high school with honors, is a computer wiz, and has a lovely girlfriend. He’s been taking care of me so that I can continue working by cleaning up the house, helping with laundry and dishes, and driving me where I need to go.
We trusted God and He gave us an amazing, loving son.

Sweet Jesus! Such beautiful babies.
Just donated. They’re almost to their goal.
There was a mother and daughter with brittle bone disease in my church. Both were normal and healthy, although fragile. They moved due to employment. I can’t imagine either of those lovely people being killed just because the are not “normal” -— are any of us, really???
God sets our life span, for His purposes.
= = =
And His purposes are love and the best for all of us, even as in this case, the parents.
Hard for humans to comprehend.
Damn I choked and teared up when I saw those pics and I have to hop on a call at the bottom of the hour….just donated, may God watch over their house and family 🙏
I have even advised my daughters to refrain from the high tech gobbley gook of modern medicine and allow their pregnancies to proceed naturally. It is simply the way it was intended.
No doubt the doctors have no problem pushing for a patient they can count on monetarily for a very long time.
“Your babies have no chance to survive ... so you should chop them up now!”
What kind of demonic thinking is this?
Some people trust God, and He gives them unexpectedly talented children.
Some people trust God, and He gives them special needs children whose care is truly exhausting.
Some people trust God, and He gives them children who live only a few minutes.
The Lord giveth, and The Lord taketh away ... Blessed be the Name of the Lord.
I was advised to have amniocentesis when pregnant with my last baby. I did the special sonogram with the doctor who would have done the amniocentesis.
He pleaded with me to do it, so I would have time to mourn before he was born.
I told him should I need the mourn, it will be once he is in God’s hands. We had already lost one infant at 12 days 9years before this one.
Btw, my second son is healthy almost 34years old.
Praise God, those babies are now with Jesus, healthy and whole! May the God of all comfort, bless these parents with peace that passes all understanding.
God doesn’t make junk.
Years ago there was a caller to the Dr. Laura show who was pregnant with a baby that would surely die - I don't remember the details any more. But this mother, knowing her baby would die soon after birth, arranged to have the baby's organs donated. I wonder if these parents did the same.
