I've missed having a viewing 'assignment'. With the weather cooling off and the Middle East heating up, I'm looking forward to listening to the Gospel of Luke. :D
I created this thread to store any observations or comments made by those of us listening David Suchet's narration of the Bible, we will have one thread for each book starting with the New Testament. I've provided a suggested listening/commenting window of one week (see dates in title of thread).
This week's book is available in a few different formats. I linked this thread to Bible Gateway's convenient hub offering David Suchet and many others providing audio readings of the books of the bible.
Here is the YOUTUBE link for the Gospel of Luke.
The Gospel According to Luke read by David Suchet 2:45:37
I'll put optional links below in case anyone is looking for additional resources, along with a link to book club ideas for people reading/listening through the book of Mark.

Here are a few links for those seeking additional sources for listening.
Those listening to David Suchet readings may want to use the list at the bottom of the (linked) page which maps each of Suchet's readings to the books/chapters of the bible covered in each reading.

Here is the link in google to James Earl Jones' readings (YOUTUBE). I note that JEJ's collected readings are also available through Audible and on CD.

Bible Gateway: I discovered that Bible Gateway has many spoken translations, including David Suchet's. I am pleased it automatically continued to the next verse without my intervention.

PING
Okay, I goofed the ‘listening window.’ Let’s say 10/14 to 10/21 for those wishing to comment on the book. :D
I wondered if this ever began!
I’ve got a set of CDs of Johnny Cash reading the King James New Testament I keep in my truck - nothing on the earth sounds like Johnny Cash.
I love Alexander Scourby reading the Bible.
Max McLean reading the KJV is the best.
NIV has too many “plot holes.”
Wow! That sounds fantastic!
Thank you for the recommendation> :D
Thank you for the PING ransomnote!
I am glad you took the time to put this back out there to give it another try.
We will be listening and posting this weekend.💛
