Road rage incident northbound I-5 freeway Boyle-Heights area of Los Angeles. Suspect exits car, runs over to other vehicle involved in the incident (a gold cadillac) and fires 5 shots into the back seat and kills a passenger.
Killing the passenger?!?
That sounds as if there may have been a lot more than road rage going on.
Road rage ?.... on the non-driver in the back seat. Unlikely.
Drug conflict....or a very, very bad aim.
If you take time to actually watch the video, you will see that the shooter was just randomly shooting 8 rounds into the car without targeting anyone.
A lot more happening than road rage.
“ that the shooter was just randomly shooting 8 rounds into the car..”
What?
He literally opened the car door first to get an clear shot at the victim.😂🤦♂️
I did take some time, but I didn’t easily find the video.
Assuming it was random, as you say, it still sounds like an unusual road rage case, which—in my observational experience—is uniquely aimed at the driver.
In a small number of cases, yes, maybe the rage wouldn’t be directed at only the driver if a passenger might have been pointing a weapon or screaming obscenities.
Maybe a nothing-burger traffic event, until a helpful passenger flips off the driver?
Just another day in paradise.
I’m just thankful they coupled a young black female with an old white guy to each introduce the story, and then throw it to an Hispanic female out on the street. That’s all that really matters.
Ahole one meet ahole 2. which one of you is the bigger ahole and which one is packing heat? dont argue with a stranger! people are nutz.
I grew up in LA and in that town you did not even honk your horn at someone unless a collision was immanent. Doing so could result in a hail of lead coming your way.
I hope Black Lives Matter was on the minds of everyone involved.
A few years ago if you watched a video such as that, you knew it was probably from Brazil or another such country. Now these daylight gang shootings are just an every day occurrence. (It’s more likely gang activity than road rage). The U.S. now even has the motorbike robbers who just pull up to pedestrians, rob them of their purse, wallet or phone and then escape on their bike.
To change our nation’s trajectory, we are not only going to have to change the President and Congress, but also governors, mayors and other leadership in large cities. In addition, we need DA’s who will prosecute criminals and judges who will sentence them to prison. We need police officers who are law abiding and uphold the Constitution rather than those with gang-member mentalities who just want to flex their authority.
There is a lot that needs to change in our nation and electing Trump as President next month would be only a start. Putting our nation back on the right path is a major task. I’m not sure if it can be done given how far we have strayed.
Anyone eles see the dumbass perp drop his gun?
Obviously not, in addition to other subtle details.
Regardless, the caddy had fresh damage and the perp’s vehicle was pulled off to the side of the road, the perp running up the shoulder.
When the so-called ‘victim’ vehicle approaches, they see the perp and swerve to the left, then apparently trying to turn around due to traffic ahead (?) because they already knew the perp(s) were a deadly threat. The passenger door wasn’t opened by the perp: The passenger opened it and obviously the perp got the drop on them.
Bottom line: What’s on video is only the terminus to an encounter which began well behind the dashcam driver.
This wasn’t road rage: It was either gang violence or a hit gone sideways (the caddy was likely the target vehicle, since it had plates and the perps did not, plus the fact the perps were wearing masks).
I didn't mean the shooting incident was random, I meant he was just randomly shooting inside the car at anyone, thus the multiple injuries.

I’ve seen new reports out of California where nobody spoke English without a Hispanic accent. I mean one story where the anchor, the reporter, a witness, and a police officer all appeared to speak English as a second language.
Good guess.
My line from a few years back, If you pick up a rental car in LA they automatically include a firearm.
