The Iranian Mullah’s Mysterious Longevity May Reflect Secret US Support
American Thinker ^ | 13 Oct, 2024 | Norman Krieg

Perhaps there’s a reason that, despite its myriad bloody attacks directly against America, Iran keeps going and going.

One of the things that our intel agencies do to push lies into the public is to use the magic word “earmarks.” For example, the infamous 51 spies who lied about Hunter’s laptop—even though the FBI and the CIA knew it was real—used the weasel phrase that the laptop had “the classic earmarks” of a Russian operation. That was a lie. But here’s an “earmark” sentence that may be true: Iran has all the earmarks of a USA-intel client state. Much like Ukraine. Or, more accurately, like North Korea vis-à-vis China.

Most historians trace the US’s influence over Iran to the 1953 Mosaddegh coup, when, reportedly, the fledgling CIA overthrew the democratically elected nationalist (and possibly communist-adjacent) prime minister and installed the Shah as the actual ruler. In this recounting, America stepped into the void left when the British Empire retreated to control oil supplies and stabilize the Middle East.

This influence over Iran would last a couple of mostly quiet, if morally dubious, decades before the Ayatollah returned from his French exile and crafted a coup of his own, culminating in a regime of murderous mullahs that bedevils the West still today, everything from sponsoring most modern Muslim terrorism to the October 1, 2024, ballistic barrage attack on Israel.

However, upon closer inspection, America’s relationship with the Mullahs has all the earmarks of patron-client rather than enemy-enemy.

In 1973, following the Watergate investigations’ revelations, the disgraced and deposed CIA Director, Richard Helms, was downgraded from that position of supreme importance to the seemingly minor posting of Ambassador of Iran. In his memoir, which recounts snippets of this oft- ceremonial position, Helms adds a striking tidbit:...

Khomenie was installed by western elites.
It was not a revolution, but a coup.

@zoroasterschild

A lot of buzzwords and #fakenews 🤦🏻‍♀️
Once again, it wasn’t a “coup”. It was a rightful action to stop/prevent Mossadegh’s coup (counter coup).

Here is what happened:
Mohammad Mossadegh, the embittered Qajari princelet, was appointed by the Iranian parliament and subsequently by the King/Shah that you are obsessively thrashing. Then, he tried to dissolve the same parliament that elected him, violated Iran’s constitution, silenced opposition, & destroyed the economy. Mossadegh saw himself as the rightful heir to Iran’s throne and he tried to become a dictator and failed so now he’s a communist pretend hero.

Also, the nationalization of Iran’s oil was voted in the parliament BEFORE Mossadegh.

Furthermore, the reason why the Shah appointed Mossadegh as a PM was because he trusted he could do the job. Interestingly, the King/Shah wanted the nationalization of Iran’s oil but gradually and not abruptly like Mossadegh did, to further gaslight tensions between Iran and the West.

The liberals created this false narrative around the 1953 coup and repeated it over and over to foster a public guilt, to enable and justify the Islamic Republic. So now you think well “we did wrong back in 53” ergo “Iranian deserve islamists!”
🤦🏻‍♀️

STOP MAKING HEROES OUT OF ISLAMIC THUGS!!! We Iranians do not need your virtue signaling!!!

I have always suspected that Obama did a color revolution in Israel and supported the Mullahs in Iran as a counterbalance to the independence of Israel.

Fascinating ideas. Iran has been at war with us since ‘79 but we’re not at war with them. They’ve struck us and we’ve only struck an oil platform and allegedly an airliner.

911-wouldn’t Iran be the country to take out rather than a weaker Saddam? I’m convinced this perpetual ‘controlled’ war would have beed better if W and Cheney listened to one senator Biden and created an independent Kurdistan. Four countries have Kurds and that land has oil. Plenty to fight over.

This should be reposted again in prime time.

The Iran/Iraq war in ‘88. Iraq was smaller. We supported Saddam. Help them carve each other up like Germany and. Russia in WW2. Saddam didn’t thank us any more than Stalin did. Perhaps they were aware of our motives. Then there’s the Chicoms we helped against Japan and DeGaulle kicking out NATO.

No ‘good deed’ goes unpunished.

Massive innuencdo without a shred of evidence.

The real problem is incompetence, not that the Mullahs are U.S. intel clients.

The same can be said about Khadafy in Libya. Reagan kept him I his box until Hillary unleashed them on Europe.
