I heard Chimney Rock is no more.
‘Chimney Rock will be back:’ North Carolina city rebuilds after devastation from Hurricane Helene
I’ve been on one.
A Lot.
Physical width and length could be a problem and then the transport to the actually mountain site from the landing site. I would not be surprised if a lot of them there were not similar to those built 50 years ago. Building practices have changed a lot, but so have costs.
I bet someone close to them has it all figured out.
People have lived in those mountains for a LONG TIME.
Well..a lot of those buildings are 10 by 16...20, etc.
Pickups deliver most of them so.
RVs are anywheres from 8 thousand pounds to 18 thousand pounds.
But, the only RVs I would suggest is nothing longer than 24 ft with no slides.
Why? Because to heat a fifth wheel RV in the winter is impossible. Just ask the guys who tried that up at the Bakken Oil Feilds in the Dakotas.
Mine was 20 ft. I set foam sheeting around the bottom to keep cold out. I heated it with one of those cheap 15 dollar electric heaters from Walmart.
70 degrees. That was in Laramie WY in Nov, Jan and Feb.

Guy I know said a chinook will carry up to 26000 pounds.
He’s seen them going with container trailers slung under them.
Amazing, thanks for info.
My step son traveled on large long term construction jobs and lived in a 5th wheel trailer. He told me it was hard at times to heat.
He was well compensated and had lots of responsibility, but finally got sick of it and found a similar job back here in Texas and married and settled down. Next month his wife is due for their first child (a girl).
He is a great guy and can do anything.
Thanks for the explanation on weight and size.
They are an awesome helicopter, I never got over seeing the foam churn and the sound from the rear rotor gear box and look straight out the back of it.
I share your concerns for the most part, I also have some concerns different than yours.
I look at it this way, everything the media does is to advance an agenda to support the liberal globalist agenda. The Weather Channel is at the top of the Climate Change hoax.
North Carolina is at top for swing states for the upcoming election, North Carolina is run by a Democratic Governor who is term limited, the election for the new Governor is likely to go to a Democrat given the debacle the Republican has been.
If you showed the true picture of the incompetence of FEMA and the Governor of North Carolina in their handling of the hurricane, the Republican Governor candidate could be back in the running, plus Trump would win the state going away.
Just a few days before Hurricane Milton hit Florida, the climate change zealots were saying the storm needed to be called a Cat 6 storm because of its size and intensity.
I don’t want to minimize the damage or death anyone has suffered but Milton came ashore as barely a Cat 3 and had storm surge less than Helene that hit barely 2 weeks prior, it was far less damaging than what had been predicted.
Florida is run by a very effective conservative Governor who is very popular, if the media can show incompetence in Florida and blame it on DeSantis and Climate change, the race in Florida could become a lot closer, in addition to the Presidential race, we have Rick Scott up for reelection as US Senator.
The reason Florida is being concentrated on is to advance the Climate Change agenda and to support Democrats in the State, the opposite is true in North Carolina, the lack of coverage there is to hide the incompetence of Democrats and to potentially affect the Presidential race.
It’s probably still pretty wet.🤔
Unfortunately, the piece does not tell how people outside of this area can help. I live in Maryland, for example.
I found something. Hope it helps.
Thank you. I used the link there for Samaritan’s Purse. Some on the list, e.g., Red Cross are not getting a cent from me.
Thanks, again.
