A question about North Carolina re: Election Night (VANITY)
Simpson96 ^ | October 12, 2024 | Simpson96

Thank you for allowing this vanity post.

In light of how the Biden/Harris Administration has treated NC, with all the chaos and destruction they have been through and continue to endure, what do you think of Trump's chances to win, if NC, of all states, is called for Harris on Election Night?

It sends a chill up my spine.

If NC is called for Harris in election night, it’s over

I can't imagine how ANY Carolinian could vote for kommie-la, given the blatant disregard shown after the hurricane.

If they can vote for Harris after 4 years of ‘down the tubes’ leadership that she and Biden have exhibited, then being mistreated after a hurricane won’t break their camel’s back. I’ve said it before, these libs need to be on a nation-suicide watch list.

The chances of North Carolina being called on election night are near zero.
More likely to be called a week later. ;-)

FWIW Bill O’Reilly said on Hannity that Harris will lose with as much chaos as the administration has caused in the state.

He may be correct that anger at death, disaster and economic carnage might be able to overcome the abortion vote (which is what this whole election is about).

Pretty much. Even before the storm the race was tight. Charlotte and the Triad have grown to the point they can out vote the rest of state. That and the candidacy of Mark Robinson and his stance on abortion is energizing the rats.

Sad to say the traditional GOP southern strategy may no longer work due to the population shift to the sun belt. Tobacco Road is dead or dying.

True MAGA voters WILL find a way to vote. Wimpy victim types will complain their ballot wasn’t hand carried to them.

Durham is the most corrupt. Raleigh is close behind.

Remember how they extended voting hours in Durham at the last minute to round up enough votes to elect a Democrat Governor?

The problem is that Robinson refused to withdraw from the Governor race. He is now down 17 points to Stein.

He is dragging down Trump by a point or two. The ads against Robinson are exceptionally vicious and effective.

If he just had withdrawn, the NC GOP could have named a substitute who would have been credited with his votes. That substitute may not have won, but they would have stemmed the hatred of Robinson by the unaffiliated women.

Robinson is a terrible candidate who slid through the system without being vetted.

I think Trump will win NC by 100,000 votes. We won't see it on election night.

No biggie. NC tends to vote for Dem Governor, Rep President.

It’ll be close. I live in Raleigh and it’s 50/50. It’s very purple here.

True.
I have lived in central NC for over 57 of my years and was born here and went to a public university.

The real issue is the veto-proof majority in the House and Senate. It hangs by one vote now.
