Japanese sushi restaurants are saddened to hear that…… along with the Italian restaurants and Asian restaurants.

While a human baby that is put to death (aborted) by the liberal, leftist California governor Newsom, does not enjoy the honors, rank, and privileges:
"highly intelligent," have "long-term memory," and have "have a well-developed nervous system"
of an octopus.

Pigs are also extremely intelligent, and pigs, cows, chickens, etc., feel pain, fear and pleasure—and form social bonds.

“Octopuses are highly intelligent, curious, problem-solving animals. They are conscious, sentient beings that exhibit cognitive and behavioral complexity and are capable of experiencing pain, stress, and fear, as well as pleasure, equanimity, and social bonds,”
Don’t forget the suspicion that octopi is rumored to be direct ancestors to the extraterrestrials!

Actually, I like this one. I read the previous article about their cleverness and really felt yucky that such intelligent creatures were used as food. Finally, a good for Newsie.

If a shark is about to bite down on an octopus, I have serious doubts, that the shark really cares how intelligent the octopus 🐙 is.

This is all because a Spanish company is working on the world’s first octopus farm in the Canary Islands.
The first. Meaning there are yet no others.
Breeding octopus in captivity is very difficult, and the ANTI’s aren’t even giving them the opportunity to prove whether their process works. I can’t find any current information about whether they’re in production but since catching wild octopus is still legal in a lot of places, if you’re truly interested in the survival of the species, you’d be stupid to stand against commercial farming to take pressure off the wild creatures.
This is really all about wackadoodles who want you to live on bean sprouts and sawdust and drink your own urine.

"Octopuses are highly intelligent, curious, problem-solving animals. A law intended to appeal to the uninformed woke empath. No such farms exist nor is it possible to farm octopi without an outrageously expensive physical operation. The fact they are canabilistic is a major stumbling block in their husbandry.
On a side note it remains legal and appropriate to terminate parasitic embryos if they interfere in the whoremongering of their host.

“. . . octopuses are carnivores, requiring aquatic animal protein in their diets. Thus, farming them will further deplete fish stocks.” Here’s a modest proposal: Feed the farmed octopi the aborted fetuses. They’ve been luxuriating in amniotic fluid, making them a sort of “aquatic protein.” Win-win!

On Friday, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the bipartisan bill (which had zero opponents) that criminalizes the farming of octopuses for human consumption, based on the ideas that the aquatic animals are "highly intelligent," have "long-term memory," and have "have a well-developed nervous system." But babies don't??????
