Look here. Myorkas is saying that criticizing government officials is hate speech.

“Freedom of speech means freedom from interference, suppression or punitive action by the government—and nothing else. It does not mean the right to demand the financial support or the material means to express your views at the expense of other men who may not wish to support you. Freedom of speech includes the freedom not to agree, not to listen and not to support one’s own antagonists.” - Rand

“I can’t remember who I heard say this, but basically The Atlantic’s audience is the rest of the MSM and “the beltway” leftists. Even though they are published publicly, they don’t speak directly to average Americans. They give direction to the rest of the left.”

I blame the internet.

Before the internet, “liberals” as they were called, lived and communicated in their own mental bubble with other liberals. When they made pronouncements of utter foolishness, “everyone” agreed with them and told them how smart and good they were.

Then the internet came along. Then they realized that not only were there smelly, sweaty yahoos out here that went to the wrong shops ate the wrong food, but the yahoos were laughing at all their pronouncements. Something must be done!

Google is but one example of the powerful who should be regulated

In what way? And by who, the government?

Truth sounds like hate to those who hate truth.

Fascism, socialism, and communism cannot exist without a totalitarian government with a strong secret police component. All three of these forms of government are failed economic models and will be overthrown by the people unless the government is there to keep their boots on the neck of the people. Free speech is of course not to be tolerated by a totalitarian government, nor is private ownership of guns. The framers of the U.S. Constitution clearly knew the evils of totalitarian governments.

People should be able to say/write anything they want to as long as they don’t threaten someone or someone’s property. I’ll decide who I’ll believe and who I think is crazy.

In what way? And by who, the government?

Good, appreciative question:

The people, not the bureaucracy (as was the case both with the Fairness Doctrine's implementation AND its withdrawal). As stated, ripe for debate, IMHO.

Unless you have a better suggestion short of pandemic, cosmic disaster or WWIII to help quell the tide of the 'true pandemic'...(because it IS getting worse, and Nov 5th will be a watershed moment for the Republic).

(somebody needs to perform a qualitative analysis of what needs to be corrected in the US to restore education, commerce, justice, science, election integrity and Constitutional Law (to name but a few perverted by the left and globalists. If it's been done, I haven't yet seen it, and certainly the powers-that-be don't want it popularized)

To “let the secret out” is the conditioning of the people.

1. Secrets begin to be whispered about by those who support the secret’s implementation.
2. Media “accidentally” publishes a few articles questioning and/or supporting the “secret.”
3. Designated leftist mouthpiece(s) openly and publicly question the “secret.” (We’re here now)
4. Radical leftists DEMAND the “secret” becomes the law of the land.
