A meteorologist and hurricane specialist has become emotional on TV as he described just how strong the hurricane heading for millions of people in Florida and Mexico has become.
John Morales told NBC 6 in South Florida that Hurricane Milton has become a Category five, with wind speeds almost tripling.
"It has dropped fifty millibars, in ten hours" he said, choking up in the process.
"I apologise, this is just... horrific."
He said he blames global warming and climate change for the increase in extreme weather.

Thanks for posting that!
Are you now in Lake Hamilton? That’s now smack in the middle. Are you planning on leaving?
I am in Lake Hamilton and have a sturdy house, though it is physically on the shore of Lake Hamilton. I am not leaving.
I am on the Central Florida ridge. I am at 125 feet elevation. But I live on a lake and am 6 feet above the current lake level.
Check this out,,...,...sfwmd.gov weather/radar
Hurricane Andrew had a pressure of 922 at landfall.
897 is concerning. My brother lived in Cutler ridge for Andrew, he was out of his house 15 months for repairs.
I thought had was going to say, It’s Trumps fault.
wonder how many teslas will be stranded amongst the evacuation routes...
For a long time, I kept wondering why something as preposterous on its face as ‘global climate change’ got so much traction. You look at the science and the claims, especially as it pertains to CO2’s role in AGC, and ask, “Why is this concept getting so much push, when it is so easy to debunk.”
When the Soviets fell, there was nobody really left to blame things on so that you could continue to emotionally goad people into accepting that so much of their money was being taken from them and then squandered, laundered, and outright wasted.
So starting in the 1970s, about the time certain technologies started really gaining efficacy, you push the global warming meme, led primariy by ‘Second Shakra’ Gore. NYC gone, no more polar bears, keep giving us money, and you’re going to have to get used to less.
If I had proposed that people would get on heavy commercial aircraft and run them into buildings, I would have been laughed out of any serious room.
It sure seems to me like we may have the ability to alter weather and possible tectonics, and having the AGC meme as cover is paying off.
It may be the case that our government has developed technologies that allow them to weaponize weather, tectonics, and solar energy. I would have thought that to be a stretch a decade ago, but I’m beginning to believe that the possibility is above 50%.
I sure do remember being called a kook when the chem trail thing really got going in the 90s. Now states are passing laws against the practice in 2023, primarily because the USG has come out and admitted to the practice.
I know. People are pulling hard at those teats of government money...
Hahahahahahaha!
Crazy, isn’t it?
Poignant ping... :-(
Liberal Cuck Crybaby.
Indeed..
You adjusting to the South? Culture shock, but y’all be saying y’all in no time :)
I recently discovered the Fox Weather channel. They don’t get hysterical, they don’t stand in wind tunnels, so far they don’t proclaim that it’s all because of global warming. I highly recommend it.
I remember Camille; the winds were estimated to be 300 mph.
Panic Porn / spin.
LOL, I'm already saying y'all. It's a very efficient word. Better than 'you all' or 'you guys', IMO. :)
Overall I love the culture here, however there are a LOT of fellow northeastern refugees here, which changes the culture a bit. We also have refugees from the midwest, and even as far as California. All the conservatives who left those states and didn't move to Florida, moved to South Carolina. There are a few libs who just moved here as well, but SC is still a Red State.
Worst adjustment here for me is the never-ending humidity and nasty bugs called No-see-ums. And the occasional hurricane and/or tornado threat can be scary as well.
Are you going to be OK in the Orlando area? Milton will be slicing his way through your area before he finally exits Florida on the east coast.
Fox Weather is pretty good, but they were way off with their rainfall predictions here in lowcountry South Carolina during TS Debby. Have to admit the Weather Channel did a better job there.
