Don’t they have devices that automate pet feeding?

In the modern days of 6am FBI attack raids, probably a good idea to “stand to” and be ready for that unexpected dawn attack.

My wife is one of these “Dawn-walkers”.
To hear her tell it, they’ve got a lot of the things normal folks see in the afternoon - stores, restaurants, other people.
I have my doubts as to the veracity of this, but I’ll never find out, I can’t stay up that late.

For me (quasi-retired, when I do work it's often from home) is getting up as soon as I wake up, whatever time of the morning that is. Don't waste the day lying in bed -- don't automatically put myself into complete lazy mode. But also don't set an alarm and force myself to wake up before my body and mind ready for it.
If it's a day with an itinerary (i.e. a work day, especially if it's a day at the office, or a Sunday to get to church early to volunteer), then set an alarm and set it early enough to have time to pray and read the Bible (and on weekdays read FReeper Pooke's Today's Toons) before doing other things.

I spent my youth and young adult life as a night owl, Of course, having a midnight shift job helped matters. That and being in a rock band (nobody you ever heard of).
Then I got married and we had kids....
Now, my wife gets up around 4 am and I join her about 5. Nice thing about that is I can start drinking earlier than anyone else!! (Hey! I've been up for 5 hours already. It's miller time for me (actually wine)...

I once woke up on a Saturday and the first words out of my mouth was ‘ah shit’. Lady didn’t like that. She just didn’t know I was happy.

YES!
I do have an automated cat feeder.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t stop the cat from running across the bed, jumping to the floor, and running into the kitchen at 6 AM.

I go in cycles...
The current cycle is going to bed at 9, waking up a 2am, can’t fall asleep so watch price is right reruns from the early 80’s on closed caption for an hour, fall back asleep and wake up at 6am
In a few weeks I’ll be going to be at midnight or 1am and do the opposite..

I think President Trump goes to bed late and still gets up at 3AM, but then, he’s not low energy.

There's no glory in being a performative workaholic who wakes up early just to squeeze in more work! Who says workaholics don't work until 2 AM?!

Sleep is overated...you can sleep when yer dead. You read my mind - that's been my motto for decades.
I get by on five hours of sleep and still there's not enough time for all that needs doing.
