Too many reruns of GI Joe about Destro’s Weather Dominator.
Maybe his Decoder ring was askew.
Too much Buck Rogers to be believable. The hurricane models from different agencies around the world all agreed on the track days before Helene even made landfall.

NOAA did not have the path correct at all. In the morning I checked and monitored its progress. Early on they had the cone moving north and west into the lower Midwest. Then about 9 a.m. it changed and they had the storm stalled. Next I checked they had the storm moving EAST toward the Atlantic. The storm slowly moved east and then meandered north along the coast until in ran out of steam. They missed this one because there was a cold front that came in from the west and wrapped itself over the top of the storm seemingly interrupting its normal and expected northerly movement.
I live in the north GA mountains. They were predicting the eye to come right over this area, we were all preparing for the worst then it went to the east of here up into the Asheville area.
