To many on the left, America’s First Amendment seems to be a hurdle to overcome because it stands in the way of their radical agenda. But in reality, the First Amendment is a gift to help keep us free.
John Kerry told the World Economic Forum recently that he sees the First Amendment as a roadblock to progress.
Kerry intoned, “I think the anguish over social media is just growing…It’s part of our problem, particularly in democracies in terms of building consensus around any issue.

And POS. But, he’s kinda parroting branDUHn’s proclamation that those pesky rights aren’t absolute. So, would that mean the 13th and 19th are included in that remark?
I really have a strong dislike for these entities.
Every inch of ground these “progressives” take move us more and more backwards as a society. Their idea of “Utopia” is rapidly changing this country into a third-world hell-hole. It’s a “Utopia” for them because they’re positioning themselves as the elite power-mongers above the rest of us.
They take take take and only offer misery in return.
This is exactly why the Founding Fathers included the 2nd Amendment in the Bill of Rights in the US Constitution - against tyrants such as Kerry, Harris and Walz who seek to take away our God-given rights. The Founding Fathers well knew what they were doing.
If we follow this leftist idea that “disinformation” needs to be suppressed by te government, we are quickly headed to something like the Chinese Cultural Revolution where wrong thinking was a crime and those who espoused any idea deemed contrary to the revolution were denounced, imprisoned or killed.

If the First Amendment to the US Constitution is such a problem to the Left with respect to free speech in social media, then the Left should consider how the Right views the same problem with the traditional press and MSM. Imagine, if you will, the censorship of political commentary being applied to the likes of The New York Times and the Washington Post.
As usual, the Liberal Left doesn't stop to consider the effect of its actions.
