They have asked for it to be ‘delayed indefinitely’ ... ?

What is complex is the web of lies the gov’t is concocting.

The coverup effort is complex.

If the feds had him in their custody and could kill him, it would be simple.
But Florida is holding on to him so that a real investigation can be done. That makes things “complex”.

The shooter had a flourescent history a mile wide, and the FBI never saw it??????

Put him on trial for tresspass and attempted murder
We can scoop up all of his enablers in scores of RICO cases

So much for that right to a speedy trial thing. Just toss them in the clink until they die with no trial.

So in three weeks they’ve amassed 4,000 TB (4 PB) of information that is possibly evidence in the trial? Yet we still know nothing about the Crooks kid?

So he’ll languish in jail forever like the J6’ers?

Makes sense, as their plan went south with him.

The problems are twofold:
1. The Sheriff caught him and didn’t realize he was supposed to be taken out when he ‘resisted’ arrest, so now you have a wildcard who just might have some things to say that the feds would rather not have disclosed.
2. The second problem is that the Sheriff released his name BEFORE the feds could lock-down his social media history - thereby making it impossible to label him as MAGA, or at least scrape his posting history.

It’s very dangerous to have him talking this close to the election.

I don’t understand the need for “ballistics testing”. He never fired a shot.

Constitutionally, Routh has a right to a speedy trial. An "indefinite delay" violates his sixth amendment rights.

That said, Article I Section 9 Clause 2 says:

The privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.
I don't think anyone would disagree that an attempted assassination of a former President and current Presidential candidate is an act of rebellion against the United States. Therefore, suspending the writ of Habeas Corpus for Routh would be Constitutional.

On the other hand, I suppose the same thing could be argued for the indefinite incarceration of the J6 defendants, but in their cases I don't think the "public Safety" requires it as it would with an assassin who was caught in the process. The J6 defendants are not going to "riot" or "attack" the Capitol building again (or any other government building).

If I am not mistaken, there were a few State of Florida laws violated in this caper. I think the State of Florida should investigate, prosecute and adjudicate, through the punishment phase, all potential STATE violations before it grants the Federal government access to any residual issues.

scheduling the trial for Ryan Routh, the suspect in the second assassination attempt on former President Trump, citing an enormous amount of evidence gathered since his arrest.

Most of that is irrelevant. Was he at the golf course? Did he have a gun? Was he waiting for Trump?

If yes, he's guilty. We can sort through all the background crap later.
