My sprained ankle is slowly getting better. It was Oct. 8. Today is the first day not using a walker, just one walking stick! I got out for the first time doing a couple of chores. Got on the atv sidesaddle and went down to the mailbox and barn. Put away the mason bee houses in the cloth bag in the barn. Coiled up a drained hose and put it in the barn and brought up a cardboard box for a new sewing machine I want to sell. Decided I am never going to use it. Too complicated. Doesn’t sound like I did much but it felt great. Hubby also picked 3 ripe roma tomatoes. We had a late volunteer this year come up in the pea pod cage and just let it go. It had 3 green tomatoes in September. Amazing they ripened, and the very top of the bush was still green. They will no doubt become the last tomato sandwich of the year.

Thanks for the reminder to drain the hoses! I think I’ll surprise Beau and do that today before he comes home from the cabin.

That way HE has to roll them up and put them away if he wants to mow one more time. Me? I’m so OVER mowing for the season; bring on the snow! :)
