“ The author should list the huge mistakes made and specifically why Israel has turned things around using actual metrics.”

Maybe i can help.

In the last two weeks Israel has managed to completely gut Hezbolla with almost surgical precision. Almost the entire cadre of mid-level officers were killed or seriously wounded in the pager attacks. Within 24 a follow up attack took the more senior levels apart.

Their command and control infrastructure was left in ruins. Then they went after the head of the snake and killed the top guys, all on their support staff, and most likely a bunch of Iranians.

Israel must press this attack now. The enemy’s top guys are all either dead or in the wind. Now is the time to smash the front line grunts. Their support system is gone, and I do mean gone. They’ll fold up like Walmart lawn chairs.

I do hope all that helps.

To your point: https://www.indianarrative.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Hezbollah.webp (Impressive)

The NYT’s needs to do a better job explaining “why” they make such a claim.

Just saying it’s so, does not convince me.

A good argument might show ground gained or lost, leadership killed, material losses, key terrain captured or lost, enemy and friendly casualties... They need give us “something” factual and physical, a reality on the ground which supports the point made.
