Oh, 100 percent.
The mob wanted one thing, and to get it they felt they needed to treat people like royalty.
The did, and they cashed in.
Now days, I won’t even spend a penny in that place. The corporate attitude is that the public owes them a living.
It’s even getting real bad in Laughlin now.

Hate to say it but big cities were safer too when the Mafia was running things more. My dad was only semi-connected but when I was having bullying problems as a child, all my father had to do was say the word and suddenly the punks that were harrassing me would cross the street just to avoid me.
One can talk about how the Mafia was corrupt and made everything more expensive but the only difference now is that it is the politicians cashing in on all the graft and now the streets are much less safe.
