Coincidentally, I stumbled upon that vid about a month ago while rambling through YT. JW is entertaining as hell, funny and direct, no bullshitting. And of course he did a good job on the setup steps.
I have a Les Paul Custom (the "Black Beauty" triple-pickup, like Peter Frampton had on his live album) that I bought used. It needed a fair amount of TLC to get it into shape, but fortunately the neck was good and the pickups were solid, so after some tweaking with the bridge and adding micro-tuners (no whammy), everything else pretty much fell into place. Cleaned up real nice, heavy as hell, but great sound.
So I found JW's demonstration/lesson mostly a recap, but even so he had a few new things to add to what I knew. I've been a fan since the James Gang, and wore out my Smoker You Drink LP back in the day. The man is a legend.
