I think kickbacks from the “green energy” companies may be a reason why the democRATs are pushing for it so hard.

“...with Californians paying nearly three times what Louisianans do...”

Louisiana finally got electricity? ;)

Our electric bill has doubled since 2020. Along with our bill, we also get an extra letter each month, showing where and what we’ve spent electricity on and trying to SHAME us into using less and to quit being such an energy HOG. There’s no way they could have an exact breakdown of where we use electricity; we’re not on a ‘Smart MEter’ system of any kind.

I sent it back to them with a note saying; ‘I pay my inflated bill for electricity in full each month. Stuff it! I’ll use what I want.’

They’re still sending them out. “We’re the Electric Company. We don’t care. We don’t have to.” (H/T Lily Tomlin)

“For families struggling to make ends meet, Kamala Harris claims she has a plan to lower energy costs”

By eliminating fracking?

People must keep something in mind in regards to that chart on energy & gas prices. It doesn’t tell the whole story. In my state the prices given don’t tell the whole story & the “average” prices shown are not necessarily a true average. Our electrical rates are on a sliding scale & the rate shown probably doesn’t equal the actual “per KWH” rate you are paying. The gas price will depend on exactly where you live. The heavy users may get a cheaper rate. The low end users will possibly (likely) pay more than the rate shown on the chart.

In some parts of NH, gas is down to $2.89.

Mostly it’s around $3.

I expected prices to drop as the election draws nearer so democrats can claim they did it, counting on people forgetting who caused it to go up in the first place.

My cost for virtue signalling is high and getting higher — even though I signal not.
