There are people like him. I know of a few lesbians who, when asked by coworkers about attending some pride parade, told them they weren’t attending. “But you’re a lesbian!” The coworkers didn’t get it. Thankfully, their employers were supportive of their decision to not attend a non-work function.
I’ve always wondered why this works. Suppose there is a black, female, gay architect. What does she identify as? I would suppose her identity would be mainly as an architect who wants to design wonderful buildings. The others are just attributes and immutable so why focus on that so much? I guess this identity politics works best on people of low intelligence or low accomplishment or low ambition.
The Demonicrat Party thrives on victimhood.
My next door neighbor is a lesbian, and she was facing some very difficult financial issues.
I knew she wasn’t a church-goer, so I innocently asked her if there were any LGBT organizations who could offer her some assistance.
“Are YOU KIDDING ME?” she fumed. “They don’t care about us. They are just in the business to push their agenda!”
I just thought that was interesting.
