A number of people have been helped by mushrooms, but I think it’s only when they are micro-dosed. That makes sense to me.
The 25 mg dose used in research definitely isn’t a micro-dose; it is more like a moderate dose when compared to recreational use which might be 50.
As an (almost) septuagenarian who recently decided to dabble in psilocybin mushrooms, I’ve micro-dosed and taken doses under the threshold for visual hallucinations (other than some interesting geometric patterns and color enhancements).
I decided to take them mostly out of curiosity. My experiences have been quite enjoyable. The psilocybin gave me a deep sense of peace and relaxation.
That said, I wouldn’t recommend psychedelic mushrooms for individuals whose brains are still developing. Basically, not enough is known about the long term effects of psilocybin, but for indiduals in the last couple of decades of life, enjoy! Just don’t vote Democrat....
Hard physical work, restricted social contacts, fresh air, and self reliance, along with facing your mistakes, will set you right.
