Perhaps if customers arent doing a good job, they SHOULD HIRE EFFING CASHIERS TO DO A PROFESSIONAL JOB. no sympathy for walmart here. Did she forget or not? i dont care.
I don’t take things out of my cart to scan and bag. I scan everything with the handheld scanner leaving it in the cart. I have totes and crates in my trunk to put them in.
Yeah, it's no picnic.
Just be careful, and make sure that the scans make it onto the bill because you don’t have the protection of the cameras to prevent and/or document potential mistakes.
They’ve developed a combination of cameras and cashier assistants to help customers save themselves some time. The overwhelming majority of customers appreciate this.
Usually there are also traditional cashier checkout lanes, and if a person wants to wait in line they are more than welcome to do so.
Doesn’t heroin cause nausea?
That’s a lot of ham and asparagus.
The server at the burger joint where we had lunch on Saturday forgot to charge us for our second round of beers (not a buy-back since we are not regulars). Should we turn ourselves in or wait to get arrested?
So that would work for folks with good hearing. I’m not one of those. I used to look for the green light, but I don’t recall if that particular system had the lights. I’d rather just go to a human.
Tell them to check the camera, it would show you scanned. Their machines are crap.
Not worth the trouble or time. I just go to the human and if they make a mistake, at least it’s on them and not me.
She should be ordered by the court to make full restitution, plus 100 hours of community service in the asparagus fields.
Regards,
“Happens to everyone, right, that they “forget” to scan items adding up to $67...”
No kidding. Must have been buying a lot of asparagus and ham (more than I can carry). I’m thinking there were a few more items, like New England Lobster Tails and Wagu Steaks that she may have also ‘forgot’.
Anyway, some tips for the babe:
1. Leave your drugs at home if don’t intend to pay for your purchases.
2. Learn US politics - not every city or state allows you to walk-off with merchandise.
3. Get some psychological help
4. Next time wait in line to have a human ring you up if #3 doesn’t work.
“They could have had me arrested for shoplifting.”
Same, exact, thing happened to me once. Missed one (relatively cheap) item, was mostly out of the store when I realized it - figured I’d just confuse them if I went back to pay, so took the risk. Nothing happened.
Now I count my items prior to scanning and compare to my receipt. Also, if it’s a lot of items, I let a human do that job.
You’re just bacon for trouble at this point
FReepers are generally helpful - when they're not being wiseguys - you should get plenty of replies!
Hope that helps!
At Walmart I had a cart overflowing with a clearance camping item and a case of beer under the cart which they overlooked and that I caught at home when I went over the receipt, I called Walmart and they said that next time do what you did, so a couple of months later I bought the case of beer and told the checkout guy to charge me but send it back to the shelf.
It can like any opiate for the unseasoned
Was she found with H?
I missed that
She was ‘holding’ the anti-nausea for another comrade.
