Inside Janet Jackson’s Kamala Harris PR nightmare: Brother Randy controls her career
NY Post ^ | 9/23/24 | Carlos Greer

Janet Jackson sings about control. But some people in her circle worry she’s handing it over to someone else.

Amid the fallout from her comments about Kamala Harris’ race and her camp’s chaotic attempts to manage the situation, insiders are pointing fingers at her brother and manager, Randy Jackson.

Sources say that the PR disaster proves that Randy is too inexperienced to handle her affairs and has become too loud a voice in her ear.

The furor began on Saturday, after the Guardian newspaper published an interview with the “Control” singer. When the interviewer asked Janet her thoughts on Harris becoming the first black female president should she defeat Donald Trump in November, Janet responded, “She’s not black. That’s what I heard… that she’s Indian.”

And despite Harris making history as America’s first black and South Asian female Vice President in 2020, Janet continued, “Her father’s white. That’s what I was told. I mean, I haven’t watched the news in a few days. I was told that they discovered her father was white.”

(Harris’ parents are immigrants from Jamaica and India.)

The criticism on social media was swift and devastating, while comedian DL Hughley blasted the interview as sounding like a “Trump rally” and even took a shot at the singer’s plastic surgery. “It’s a little ironic to question whether someone is black while you’re breathing through the nose of a white woman!,” he wrote on X.

We’re told that her inner circle was perplexed by the interview, and fear that the fallout could be more severe than that of “Nipplegate” after her infamous Super Bowl performance 20 years ago — because her comments could tarnish her sterling reputation as a champion of marginalized groups.

I doubt many Ben Carson type black babies survived their pro choice mother’s womb since the 70s Kamala and Janet may be the best role model black women have.

Blacks are the most racist people on the planet. Color is paramount.

Janet told the truth. Kammy is not black. Nothing about her is black and her “father” is not the birth father. She decided long ago to say she was black to get affirmative action.

You have to be blind to think she is black.

“Blacks are the most racist people on the planet. Color is paramount.”

You’re not incorrect. I cite this as an example:

I am a huge fan of college football. I follow a lot of it thru (rightly or wrongly) Facebook - Fox Sports, ESPN College Game Day, etc.

I get exposed to a lot (and I mean a lot) of stories about Deion Sanders and the Colorado football program. Most people out there know what a frickin’ train wreck it’s been and what a bad coach Sanders is.

Sanders’ sole supporters are black or overwhelmingly black. You can tell by the way they type (using words y’all, bro, etc) and by pictures in their profiles.

If anyone dares question or throw shade on their Coach Prime, race is inevitably the first thing they’ll bring up.

Example: All of us WT’s (aka whites) hate on Coach Prime because he’s a strong black man who’s raising his sons with pride and humility. Questioning of the program is also off limits and is race-based.

Whether a lot of blacks want to admit it or not, race plays a huge part in their overall thinking.
