I didn’t watch the Oprah interview, but people sure are making fun of it.
When I find myself in times of trouble, Kamala Harris comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom: “Just be...”
Not the Be?
The Queen of Gobbledegook
**************
The Privileged Princess of Palaver and Platitudes
Who?
I never knew that Eric Roberts is Julia Roberts’s older brother.
Biden is suppose to “be” the President?
Normal lives according to Whitler.
For example, "unburdened by what has been," is an aspirational way of saying, 'We're going to shove it down your thoat no matter how many times it failed because we know what's good for you," or as that brilliant sage and indomitable moose, Bullwinkle said repeatedly, "This time for sure!"
It’s the psychological show. Kamala gave permission for these people to exist (just be) and now, to show their gratitude, they will vote for her. It’s not about politics, rather it’s about feeling good and being recognized by the Queen Bee. Everybody, in a debt of gratitude, will now continue to enjoy their significant and privileged lives, without guilt or question, knowing they are blessed by the Queen. All thanks go to Kamala.

There’s a documentary about Harvey Weinstein in which the interviewer asks Meryl Streep what she knew about his activities. She immediately diverts to Bill O’Reilly’s pay offs at Fox just like Kamala would. When the interviewer follows up, Streep has a blank look on her face and has to be saved by Forrest Gump. Streep is good at memorizing lines but bad at thinking on her feet.

Her admonishing voters to “just be” reminds me of the movie “Roxanne” in which the handsome but dimwitted Chris finally talks face-to-face with Roxanne without being fed lines by Steve Martin’s Cyrano character.
Roxanne: Where are you from?
Chris: Albuquerque. A-l-b-u-q-u-e-r-q-u-e.. It is an old bar bet.
Do you know where I want to go? San Francisco. I have been there. It is great; I am really a 49ers fan; not so much the Giants...
The Redwoods, you should see them. I like to go there and just —be. I always take a meat sandwich with me.
Just be unbeed by what what formerly beed.
“Just be” means “Don’t think”.
White women cry for Harris. The 19th Amendment shouldn’t be a suicide pact.
One, there remains a sizable contingent of Americans who like to hear vapid platitudes and feel good catchphrases from important people. Perhaps there are deep psychological reasons for this, but whatever the mysterious reasons, many Americans receive such gobbledygook positively. Some of these might have been undecideds, and they simply needed this platitudinous blather to nudge them towards Kamala.
Secondly, she tapped into a huge platform connected to a cultural figure like Oprah in an endorsement-like event. Regardless of the content of the conversation, just getting peoples' time and attention in a friendly setting is a net positive for Kamala.
Right wingers are angry, frustrated and cynical, and understandably so. We have been wronged, and have been on the receiving end of progressive overreach for a long time. But it is a simple fact that indignation, even when righteous, is less appealing to the undecideds than positivity, even when fake.
