Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul Intros ‘Six Penny Plan’ To Balance Federal Budget In 5 Years

U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has introduced the “Six Penny Plan,” a federal budget proposal aimed at balancing the nation’s finances within five years by cutting six cents from every dollar of projected spending.

“Seven years ago, we could balance our budget with a freeze in spending without cutting anything. Since then, our national debt has skyrocketed to over $35 trillion with $6.6 trillion just in the past four years. Americans across the nation are struggling to make ends meet while their government recklessly spends and fuels the inflation crisis,” said Dr. Paul.

“The greatest threat to our national security is our national debt, and we are now in a situation that a simple penny, two, three, or even a five pennies per-dollar reduction is insufficient to balance our budget. It requires six. We cannot keep ignoring this problem at the expense of taxpayers, and my budget will put our nation on track to solve this crisis that Congress created.”

A cute way to hide that it is a six-percent cut

I’d be happy to give FedZilla an annual budget of six pennies.

“this crisis that Congress created.” <== Truer words have never been spoken. The GOPe is already babbling about raising the debt limit.

I’m so glad our best and brightest have held the deficit to a mere $36 trillion. Can you imagine what it would be if our elected representatives served selfishly? /S 🙄

One way or another, the federal deficit will destroy this country. Rand Paul is the only person in DC who cares about that. Biden doesn’t care. Harris doesn’t care. McConnell doesn’t care. Even Trump doesn’t care.

All credit to Rand Paul for trying. But he’s outnumbered by 10,000 to 1. So look out below! When the crash comes, it’s gonna be brutal. Folks living in mansions behind guarded gates might be able to ride it out. But not you and me.

A friend of mine once said that it will all boil down to beans, bullets, and the Bible. Yeah. I think he’s right. The only question is when the collapse will come.

That's the idea, you are exactly correct. The system IS based on 999, or seen in another way, 666.

Cutting spending will not cure a debt-based ponzi fiat scheme, and any Rand Paul-like solution to do so only locks in place this failed bankstering schema that fills in for our financial system. Locking in $35.3 T in debt is no way to go.

A full collapse of the dollar is required, and that is what is actually underway, with BRICS, falling dollar relative to real money - gold, hoarding of gold by the central bankers. With this "reset", the national debt goes 'poof!'.

I think it'll be more like Argentina.

No austerity under Trump! Screw that! Anyone can see what the traitorous rinopublican party are teeing up. After the rinopublicans helped sign into law over 2 trillion dollars in NEW spending under Biden they’ll all of the sudden become budget hawks. What a @@#$ing joke.

I’ll bet a group of 100 small business men could do it better in less time.

He can’t even get the MAGA senators onboard with any of his plans. He is good, but highly ineffective.

Argentina sure has its problems. But that country is rather homogeneous. On the other hand, the United States is a mishmash of many different groups. And each group feels aggrieved thanks to Democratic Party propaganda.

I hope I’m wrong. But I think it’s gonna be ugly. As I noted before, the only question is when.

In the meantime, I will gently prepare while keeping up my morale by listening to Gale Garnett.

It should be and will be abandoned. “debt” is owed to banksters.

Want to fix the budget? Get rid of baseline budgeting completely. Make Congeress do something for a change.

Cut about a million unnecessary federal jobs and eliminate whole federal agencies! Then and only then can we can talk about further cuts. Rinopublicans need to shrink the size of the federal government first so we can see that they are acting in good faith and not just trying to sabotage Trump which they would love to do.

Nonsense!!!. Why six penny when you can just abolish unconstitutional agencies? What bullshit. Forgive me Jimbo. The uniparty has no desire to abolish the administrative, the deep state. Go to hell clowns, you care about nothing except your government paycheck.

More likely the Federal Reserve will inflate our currency. So the dollar will slowly become worthless. But things will still work. Sort of. Like Argentina.

We will have challenges. But life goes on. It'll be the "new normal".

Everyone will get to collect social security but it's enough to buy beans and rice. That's it.

That's my guess. I don't think we'll see a total collapse like the Soviet Union. We'll see a gradual decline in our standard of living. Eventually, the Constitution will be declared irrelevant.
