I just pointed out where Hyundai is on the list above. I make no claims one way or the other. I've owned three Hyundais and one Kia. I have a 2010 Santa Fe that is having engine issues now. It's in the middle of the test for excessive oil consumption. They extended my 10-year warranty on it to 15 years or 150k because of the engine lawsuits. It only has 85k on the clock. If they don't cover it for engine replacement then going to drive it until it pukes all over itself and buy an older Toyota to replace it. The Kia isn't giving us any issues and is just over three years old to us. It's not driven much. We have less than 16k on it.
But speaking of SUVs - my neighbors used to have a Nissan Xterra.
The thing was no end of trouble.
But my father and myself loved his old ‘74 Jeep Wagoneer.
Even though it was a rust bucket that did not run well.
But it KEPT RUNNING - after a fashion anyway.
I think that when AMC took Jeep over they started making Jeep’s out of cheaper steel.
The thing must have been the Recycled Beer Can Wagon. MAJOR heavy duty rust.
I wish I’d taken a picture of it.
