Wow. Sorry to hear about the Santa Fe. Hope it works out. Good luck!

But speaking of SUVs - my neighbors used to have a Nissan Xterra.
The thing was no end of trouble.

But my father and myself loved his old ‘74 Jeep Wagoneer.
Even though it was a rust bucket that did not run well.
But it KEPT RUNNING - after a fashion anyway.

I think that when AMC took Jeep over they started making Jeep’s out of cheaper steel.
The thing must have been the Recycled Beer Can Wagon. MAJOR heavy duty rust.
I wish I’d taken a picture of it.

My current car is a 2016 Honda Accord Sport bought in 2019..... It only has slightly more then 50,000 miles on it.

I have had oil changes and a alignment. The stealership said I needed a front lower ball joint boot at $552 and a air filter at $82. I replaced the air filter myself the previous month and found out the ball joint boot is a scam! by Honda stealerships. I went to another repair place that had a good rep and fixed all brands. When I told the guy there about the ball joint boot and that the car had under 50,000 at the time he shook his head and said you will not need one but would check. I did not need one. Do a search on the 2 "repairs" the stealership suggested I needed and you will find it is a scam for many many years.

Months before I went to the Honda stealership because I had one tire with the air valve body leaking and ask for it to be repaired. You could bend it and hear air leaking. It was replaced but I was still losing tire pressure so I bought a kit and inspected the valve stem and it was not screwed all the way in...! I bet they were setting me up for a repair. I will not go to the Honda places anymore.

I will be needing a new set of tires and they are expensive. About $250 a piece!
