I learned how to drive a stick all by myself, no one to teach me, out of necessity. Took about 15 minutes.

You did better than we did. I still remember trying to follow his directions for quickly double D shifting.
I kept losing it on a “hill” in Chicago that no one knew existed until I kept getting stuck on it. And it was great for racing because it took nothing to break the back end loose to corner faster.
After our divorce (he brought me flowers), I got a Fiat Spyder. Had a very stable backend. My current husband had a Corvette. We’d race on the California mountain roads. I’d get him on the curves, but he’d get me on the straightaways. Why we’re both still alive is beyond me.
