was upset by being ‘drowned out’ by his bandmates playing too loudly.
so why dint he punch the soundman???
Or maybe guzzling booze on stage, while "rock 'n roll", isn't very wise, nor professional.
my thought exactly
“was upset by being ‘drowned out’ by his bandmates playing too loudly.”
In ears + less stage volume via plexi-shields or Palmer speaker emulators would deal with that but the problem is probably much bigger than the triggering incident.
Most of them don't throw punches about it. Or if they do, it isn't on stage.
Because he couldn't admit to himself that the sound man was turning him down because he sounded terrible. (If they even had a sound man).
That would have been the sensible thing to do.
I've been known to put down my guitar, jump off the front of the stage, and storm back to the soundboard and give the soundman a piece of my mind. Never hit anybody though, I'm noisy but non-violent.
