Gaining titles like Uncle Ted, The Nuge, and Motor City Madman, Ted Nugent gained stardom thanks to his guitar skills and energetic concerts. But outside of the studio, Nugent is extremely outspoken when it comes to his beliefs about religion and politics. Although two hot topics that many celebrities tend to run from, Nugent appeared to welcome the conversation, refusing to apologize for his thoughts or beliefs. And recently, the singer took aim at Pearl Jam after the band used his song “Stranglehold” as an anthem for gun violence.
On September 12th, Pearl Jam traveled to Maryland for a concert at the CFG Bank Arena. During the concert, Pearl Jam decided to play “Stranglehold”, but singer Eddie Vedder repeated the lyrics, “I don’t own a gun/ I never wanna own a gun.” After the performance, Pearl Jam made headlines for their decision over the song. And eventually finding its way to Nugent, the singer shared his thoughts about the rock band.
Pointing to Vedder himself, Nugent wrote on Twitter, “Hey Eddie join me on my RAV spirit campfire to discuss how your insane liberal policies have created an explosion in engineered violent recidivism while you fight to disarm helpless innocent citizens.”
Ted Nugent Not Remotely Afraid Of Backlash
Nugent fans rallied around the singer, filling the comment section with support. “Eddie and Pearl Jam are talented musicians. It’s sad they would disrespect your music because you have your own beliefs. The fact that they all are playing it shows how kickass your music is! They should write their own songs if they want to make a statement.”
Over the years, Nugent has made his stance on politics and the Second Amendment extremely clear. Once discussing gun control, the singer declared, “I have the right from God, as outlined in the Second Amendment, to keep and bear — not keep in case, not keep in lock, not keep in truck — to keep and bear arms on my person on planet earth while I am alive.”
Besides sharing his thoughts on the current climate in the United States, Nugent continues to release new music. Back in 2022, he released his newest album Detroit Muscle, which received a great deal of praise from fans.
The Stone Temple Pilots, they're elegant bachelors
They're foxy to me, are they foxy to you?
I will agree they deserve absolutely nothing
Nothing more than me
Grunge is so 30 years ago.
Who owns the rights to the song?

Kiss my ass,
Kiss my ass, (tastes real good)
Kiss my ass, (c’mon, everybody ought’a)
Kiss my ass. (oh...)
Don’t waste your time on me
I got my own direction
I’m lookin’ for perfection
Watch me close, wait and see
And I’ll leave you far behind
I make up my own mind
You can kiss my ass
When the goin’ gets tough
I let my dog hump on my shin
I believe in animal rights
I can tolerate sexual choice
I’ve heard it all before
But not with the next of kin (uh-uh, boy)
I ain’t gonna take any more
When the goin’ gets tough
You can kiss my ass
Everybody!
Kiss my ass, (pucker up)
Kiss my ass
Kiss my ass
Kiss my ass, (c’mon babe)
When the goin’ gets tough
I’ve heard it all before
And I ain’t gonna take no more, no no
Kiss my ass!
I see the weenies with the dirty hair
Protestin’ on the street
They condemn the clothes we wear
And the morality of what we eat, yeah
It’s gotta be a fluke
When the goin’ gets tough
They make me wanna puke
They can kiss my ass
Everybody gotta
Kiss my ass - c’mon gang bangers
Kiss my ass - Janet Reno
Kiss my ass - c’mon Billary
Kiss my ass - Callin’ on Jesse Jackson
Kiss my ass - How about the IRS
Kiss my ass - Hey, Howard Stern
Kiss my ass - United Nations
Kiss my ass - c’mon Sarah Brady
Kiss my ass - All those Liberals
Kiss my ass - Beavis, Butthead
Kiss my ass - Oh, Courtney Love I’ve got your hole
I’ve heard it all before
Kiss my ass - How about Crips and Bloods
And we ain’t gonna take it no more
When the goin’ gets rough
When the goin’ gets rough
When the goin’s to tough
They oughta’ kiss my ass

Who has rights to Sranglehold?
Ted?
His record label?
Sue Vedder sane.
At least we got Soundgarden out of it.
I prefer Alice In Chains.
Love them too.
Have both on my iPods.
No PJ to be found though.
lol...
I have to credit Uncle Ted for his subtle lyrics being so cute...
Ted got legal guardianship of his teenage girlfriend in the 1970’s so he could have sex with her while he was touring.
Not really a “better” man.
