In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled Kremlin: Russia plans to drive Ukrainian troops out of Kursk, Alter Kaker wrote: Russia would gladly trade land-locked Kursk for the land bordering the black sea. What good is coastline if you have no boats?
If the war were taking place at sea, Russia has much greater fleet strength, more than 7 times the number owned by the Ukraine.
But, since the war is actually fought on land in the East, Russia moved it's ships out of the Black Sea after losing some to drones. Makes sense - they plan to return once they defeat the Ukraine.
