SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — The U.S. government has temporarily halted a plan to remove iconic stray cats that live in a historic district in Puerto Rico’s capital until a lawsuit opposing the project is resolved, a nonprofit announced Monday.

There was a time when I worried about local foxes attacking my strong, healthy male cat. After reading a bunch of online sources, I decided the risk from foxes was negligible. The biggest risk was from other cats. I would also have worried about coyotes, had they been present.

Yes. Most of those cats are TNRd. The feds just don’t like the “returned” part.
