She was getting $500,000 per episode, far more than the lesser cast members. She did not need the money. I despise people like you.

He gave the money to the secondary character actors, not the high paid ones.

They were actually very good friends.

Edie Falco was paid on the show as a main character. The rest of the cast were considered "supporting characters" and got paid considerably less per episode.

So Edie did not need the money.
