Belcones is my go to here in Fort Worth. I bought a bottle of Belcones that was like a million proof, slight exaggeration, for my son in law. He’s used to Woodford Reserve so it was too potent for him.

It's not bad. The original founder left and it may not be as good now as it once was. He left under a bit of a cloud, disagreements with some investors, so out of loyalty I just haven't tried any in the last few years. But dang, I'm so close to it and it's most likely still very good.

My next buy will likely be Four Roses.

Great commercial! So drinking “Black Cat” skips the “spend the day on one’s side catatonic” bit? Does one get a buzz or is it just a flavoring? I’m leery of stuff since it came out that absinthe does not possess hallucinatory properties.
