Yep. Those “reasons” in the article are just guesses. I guess they really don’t know what climate change is...

"Temperatures in the upper atmosphere in the tropics have been well above average this year and above 2023 levels," DaSilva said. Warm air high above the ocean can cause the atmosphere to be more stable, which makes it more difficult for thunderstorms to develop and organize into a tropical depression or storm. "This could be tied to climate change and a warmer planet," DaSilva added.

Of course! Everyone knows that Climate change causes hurricanes, and it also causes lack of hurricanes.

Climate Change is such a conveniently flexible term. It can be used to ‘explain’ practically any perturbation in the weather. Gotta give it to the Left; they struck gold with that one.

“Reasons”

Or how about variables that they didn’t take into account.

“You can’t fool us - we know Trump is just disrupting hurricane activity by dispersing chemtrails off Palm Beach from his jet to hurt Kamala’s chances.” :)

"Research has shown Atlantic Niñas can potentially lead to less tropical activity in the Atlantic," DaSilva said. "The reasoning behind this cooling in the Atlantic is still a bit unclear."

Yet, we are to take their word climate change is caused directly by humans and IF we don't so something it's all over.

If there are more hurricanes it is man made climate change
If there are fewer hurricanes it is man made climate change

Simple and indisputable logic and science for all you globull man made climate catastrophe deniers 😎

Climate change = more hurricanes
Climate change = less hurricanes
Climate change = Everything under the sun must be taxed.

Junk science can’t prevail no matter how many definitions you change. It just takes time.

Wondering why Accuweather omitted the solar activity correlation.

Evidence linking solar variability with U.S. hurricanes

For years of above normal SST, the probability of three or more
US hurricanes decreases from 40 to 20% as sunspot numbers
(SSN) increase from lower to upper quartile amounts.

Sunspots surge to 23-year high as solar maximum continues to intensify far beyond initial expectations

Anyhow, TX/LA could have some tropical weather in the coming week.

Sunspot activity is high and the number of hurricanes are low.

Could there be a link?

And NO, I did not stay at Holiday Inn Express last night.
