5 reasons behind the historic absence of tropical storms this hurricane season
Accuweather ^ | Sept 6 2024 | Brian Lada, AccuWeather meteorologist and senior content editor

It has been the longest stormless streak in the Atlantic Basin in over 50 years, and AccuWeather meteorologists point to several factors that have put a temporary pause on the 2024 hurricane season.

History shows again and again how Nature points out the folly of Man.

Seasons don't fear the reaper. Nor do the wind, the sun, or the rain.

Oh, yeah. /s

I’ve been hearing utter bs on the radio explaining the odd weather for months. As another elaborated, “excuses.”

Just wait til all that extra water vapor from Hunga Tonga starts influencing the lower atmosphere...

...they’ll be screaming “THE WORLD WILL END!!” without immediate changes...

...and then they’ll have to explain the ‘pause’ in warming due to the reduction in water vapor in the mesosphere.

I’ve adopted a different tact of-late. When I’m privy to such a bs discussion, I get in their face and aggressively demand, “ARE YOU %**()#G STUPID???!!!”

Global warming creates the hurricanes, but also deceptively takes them away..Always Global Warming...just sayin’.

Just one of the problems with lies is the massive amount of effort it takes to unwind them. I know the steps but the order is unclear. There is deprogramming for one thing, make the lie believer understand he has been lied to. That alone takes an immense amount of time for the uneducated mind too ignorant to understand how he has been lied to. Notwithstanding that is the problem of a closed mind blocked by fear or something else. Irrational fear is much easier to hold than rational courage?

I do know that the weapons of the left are fear, greed and envy. They work every time where most of the sheeple are concerned. They are primal. I see each of these every time I feed my animals.

“5 reasons behind the historic absence of tropical storms this hurricane season”

efforts to “fight [so-called] climate change” are finally “working”?

The atlantic is cooling. The typical warm waters provide the energy for hurricanes. They cannot have it both ways.

Is anyone looking down, instead of up ? The hottest closest boiler is earth's core and it's been active--currently in the Iceland area--and in my humble and uneducated opinion has much to do with rapid changing Atlantic Ocean temps.

Perhaps, an on again-off again Atlantic volcano heated the Atlantic this spring and summer and has now moved north to Iceland (for the summer :) )rapidly lowering the Atlantic's temps further south, which "experts" can't explain.

Recall the S Pacific Tonga volcano that spewed monster amounts of dust into the air and was credited with some cooling back in '21.

I'll concede they got one thing right: "If it's hot it's climate change, if it's cold it's climate change." It's all climate change and we're not gonna' alter it or stop it---so get used to it

Anyone with a science degree & a govt. grant can come up with a theory about global weather patterns.

He has a sense of humour and doesn’t suffer know-it-all fools easily, especially when messing with his creations.

They blew this one B-I-G time. At beginning of the year they were screaming that this would be an extremely active season. But now of course, they only offer excuses, and not apologies for being so terribly wrong. I quit listening to them years ago.

And they do!

For a time in my past I was responsible for some R&D in a large company. To stretch the dollars and help with good will, recruiting and stuff like that I farmed out some of the work to academia. From that I got a real look at the publish or perish world and sucking in grants to administer. All engineering money was supposed to come in through the grants management office that promptly took at least 60% of the money for the general fund and administration. It was one giant self-licking ice cream cone. The grant office even went so far as to tell me that I couldn't direct the work I was paying for.

I figured out a way to get some of the money into direct support to the college of engineering. Oh boy! Did that set the grants gang back on their heels! I just laughed, there wasn't a thing they could do about it. We even went so far as to recruit specific graduate students from around the country to do some of the work. One part of the secret sauce to success was the department head of one of the groups I worked with was a former R&D manager of a similar large company.

The point is, they didn’t predict any of these things happening, and they don’t know why any of them happened. So much for settled science. Still, even though this lull runs against all their talking points, they still try to pin it at least a little, on climate change. Just weather.

Don’t forget when temperatures RISE it’s climate change, and when temperatures FALL it’s climate change as well.
