Best pizza I’ve ever had was in Willimantic at a place called Tony’s . Medium crust party style cut . People drive out of their way to savor Tony’s delicious pizza and grinders ( subs ) . Willington Pizza nearby is also excellent .
I haven’t seen any Kraft singles on any Old Forge pizza, nor ketchup.
Then you haven’t gone to the authentic Pocono pizza joints.
I’m not talking about the Pocono’s, but the ones in the actual town of Old Forge. Plenty of copycats in Wilkes-Barre, Scranton and surrounding area.
You are correct. It’s Old Forge.
Connecticut pizza is made by corporate WASPs.
Pizza is one of those things that is mostly dependent on where you grew up and what kind of pizza was around.
Having a debate over it is silly. Having the state put up a sign about it is an indication that your state has too much money.
Connecticut traffic out-annoys anything written on a sign.

Never had any better than Bronx. And I live in Texas.
We took a road trip back to my wife’s childhood town in NJ. Told the kids about the great pizza there. Arrived at our favorite pizza joint and it was packed.
It was their last night! My wife started going there 40+ years ago, and we just happened to travel the entire country to eat there on their last night.
Luckily there was/is another really good pizza joint in town.

Nothing to learn there but that politicians like to pump up their state.
I grew up in a little city in Maryland, just on a border of DC; and one year a carryout opened in the really cheap part of the neighborhood. I assume the folks who ran it were Italian, and it was the first time I’d ever had Pizza or Italian meatballs. (This would have been the late 1950s or very early 1960s.)
They are still the best I’ve ever had.
