The father of the Georgia school shooting suspect has been arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder.
Colin Gray is also accused of four counts of involuntary murder and eight counts of cruelty to children.
Two teachers and two students were killed in the attack at Apalachee High School in Winder, 50 miles northeast of Atlanta, on Wednesday.
Colin Gray's son Colt, 14, surrendered when "engaged by school resource officers inside the school", Barrow County police said.
He is accused of committing the fatal shootings with an assault-style rifle outside his algebra classroom.

You know this from what source?
in this case its citizens like me...not the vague govt..that wants this guy prosecuted so the laws about securing guns are enforced and this message gets out to all parents
what is with this recent thing of arresting the parents? Heck if we are going to start holding parents responsible, nearly every black parent in America would be going to jail!
This is why you don’t have kids these days as they bury you financially and criminally.
It is not simply keep guns locked up but parents be fully aware of children’s behavior. There were no shootings in my neighbor’s house despite multiple hunting rifles and shotguns unsecured ..but the father had control and kids knew not to touch.
This father, like the mother who bought her disturbed son a gun before one of the New England shootings,is a guilty fool.
If your child appears to be fascinated by fire you keep matches away.
Why aren’t any FBI people being arrested?
There is no mention of that in the news conference. They said the kid had been asking for help. The parents didn’t give it to him.
In the 1950’s, the high school kids had rifles in their lockers so after school they had their gun clubs. They didn’t shoot anyone. The kicking out God and prayer and studying the Bible has hurt our country.
“In the 1950’s, the high school kids had rifles in their lockers”
That was definitely true where I lived. And if boys — and some girls — didn’t have a rifle by the time they were 12, they got one for their birthdays.
awesome post.
if my dad said ever to not touch something, that was all he had to say
I forgot the manufacturer... of course you are correct. And somehow, ultimately, Alex Jones is liable.
I wonder how something like this would go if, instead of a gun, a loony kid borrows a parent’s car and drives through a parade.
“oh give it a break... this father was way neglignt with his disturbed son.”
Oh blow it out your tailpipe. You have no idea what security measures the dad took. It’s well within the possible that the kid was convincing the parents he was sorry and doing well. They might have felt going to the range with him with “his” gun and such was going well. And any lockup security can be defeated.
But you have no idea what happened, and are just going off the news and cops who are under pressure to “DO SOMETHING”.
Doesn’t say if it was a R or D.
Don’t forget the Manufacturer of the Ammunition used.
This nation did not start out so legalistic it was simplistic assuming everyone followed dare I say “Jesus”.
This legalistic system of looking for faults in others, passing law after law based on emotional reactions to moral collapse evidenced in high profile evil acts yeah.
Pharisees, Pharisees, Pharisees. Hypocrites, Hypocrites, Hypocrites.
People unable to surrender to God and take personal responsibility but going after others as in this situation.
In Israel the homes of “terrorists” are leveled to the ground why not in Georgia too.
Yep. My husband and his classmates would take their rifles to their Ga elementary school and put them in the corner of the coat closet so they could hunt immediately after school. It was a very poor community and the children hunted to help feed the family.
I thought the father didn’t live with the kid?
Gave a 13 year old an AR-15 for Christmas while knowing the kid had made threats to shoot up a school. He deserves to be in jail with his kid.
