I guess the OTHER 56 TIMES didn’t warrant a news story about her?

Idaho has a “chronic drunkard” and “chronic drug abuser” law that takes your license away permanently.

FIFTY SEVEN suspensions? All the people in NYS who did that should get the Kim Jong-un discharge for bad performance treatment.

I'm part of the problem, the genesis if you will.

As a child of the '60's, I brought into American culture rebelion and drugs and no morals.

In my opinion back then, I was liberating strict American culture that I perceived needed changing back in 1967.

Shortly after discharge from the Army, I jumped right IN to sex, drugs and rock n' roll that didn't abate until 1981 when I met Jesus, got saved and allowed Him to fix me, but by that time, SO much had already been damaged.

I apologize.

Does NY have a statute that allows judges to assume the role of the DMV? Could that same judge issue a driver’s permit to someone?

57 times???

I'm assuming Tampon Tim, a known drunk driver, wouldn't see a problem with this sort of record.

She had 57 suspensions before reaching 33 years of age.

The State is an accessory to murder.

Give her SOME credit. She legally obtained her license 56 times, she’s no quitter.

57 times??? Are you freaking kidding?

I just had to read the article to see what the heck is going on.

Apparently, in NY, you can get MULTIPLE suspensions at the same time, whatever that means.

The article says that 56 suspensions were issues on 8 different days. It doesn't explain if the the suspensions were consecutive or concurrent.

I had to read the article because I was wondering what the shortest amount of time for a suspension would be to allow for 57 of them, assuming them to be consecutive. Didn't find out.

"Suffolk County Judge Richard I. Horowitz ordered the suspension of Kerri Bedrick’s driver’s license until the conclusion of the case"

WHAT!? Is the judge trying for a record number of suspensions (and innocent people killed) before this woman ends up killing herself, with drugs or in a car?!?

This woman's license should be suspended in perpetuity regardless of the case.

A person with that many suspensions should not be allowed to register a vehicle, and if caught driving the car should be impounded.

What, they suspend the license for a week at a time? Our justice system is a complete joke.

57 license suspensions in 32 years?
That’s not possible.

The solution to problems like this is simple. Defense attorneys that lie, obfuscate, etc. and get the guilty off with little or no consequences should have their licenses suspended for a certain period of time if the perpetrator does the same thing again. Judges who refuse to impose realistic penalties for the guilty should be suspended from the bench for a period of time and pass through a review board to return to judicial duties if the guilty party does the same thing again. Why should feckless behavior by attorneys and judges be tolerated?

IF you get a driver license at age 16 and she is only 32-—

That means that she has only been ‘driving’ for 16 years.

16 years X 12 months==192 months...

192 Divided by 57==EVERY 3.37 months, she has had her license suspended.

I am 84. Been driving since 16. Have driven OVER 1 million Miles-—PUT OVER 444,000 miles on just one vehicle I owned alone.

NEVER HAD an accident-—NEVER got license suspended.

Quit high speed driving over 40 years ago.
