I don’t watch pro football anymore after nearly fifty years of being a hardcore fan, due to the fact they have made it eminently clear to me that I am not the kind of person they wish to consume their product. (It is a personal decision, I am not projecting that onto others who do watch)
But that said, just renaming the “Redskins” to the “Commanders” is reason enough not to watch.
The Cleveland giardias would have something to say about that!
About the team renaming: My wife pointed out that the Commanders is the name used for the women abusers in “The Handmaiden’s Tale” series.
Of course, they were fishing for a name, and probably were thinking of the Naval Academy at Annapolis.
DITTO!!!!!!
I call em “commies” for short.
I refer to the Washington DC football team as the “Comanches” ... when I must refer to them at all.
I’ve been boycotting the NFL also, and for the same reasons.
Should I pay big bucks to watch my favorite college team, as I have in prior years? I’m thinking, “no.” I just sent $500 to Trump and will likely do so again soon. I sent $1,000 to Senate conservatives.
I can afford to watch the college games, but what am I supporting? Coach Sabin lead a Black Lives Matter run through the campus. You just about know some of those kids will take a knee on the National Anthem after they turn pro. People like to make a statement. I’m making mine.
